All gatherings run from Monday to Friday afternoon. If there’s space, you’re welcome to stay at the Quinta a bit longer before or after the gathering. Or, you can hop on a direct bus to Lisbon and enjoy the weekend there!
How to register:
If you’re interested in joining a gathering, just message me (hello@quintaproject.org) , and we’ll set up a video call. It’s a relaxed chat where we’ll talk about the gathering and what you might like to share with the group. It’s not an “interview”—the idea is simply to get to know each other a bit and help me bring together a group of people who will enjoy and connect well during their time at the Quinta.
Here are a few important points to remember:
First and foremost, these gatherings aren’t commercial events or seminars—they’re co-created weeks where we all come together as friends and equals.
Attendance is free, but we do ask for a €100 deposit to secure your spot. This deposit will be fully returned to you when you join the gathering. If you’re unable to attend, the deposit will be donated to ILGA Portugal, supporting their great work
How do we plan the days?
We use the Open-Space method—a fun and flexible way to create a unique program together! Everyone can suggest ideas, activities, or even wild requests for things they’d love to do. Then, as a group, we figure out who can bring those ideas to life. It’s collaborative, spontaneous, and always full of delightful surprises.
Who’s in charge?
No one! There’s no leader, teacher, or set syllabus here. These gatherings are 100% co-created by all of us. We embrace peer-to-peer activities, where everyone gets to contribute, share, and help shape the experience. The magic happens when we all bring something to the table—potluck for the soul and body!
Where will I sleep?
Get ready for a mix of summer camp vibes and a cozy connection! You can choose to sleep in a tent if you’d like some privacy or share a space in the Quinta building, with beds and mattresses laid out for everyone. It’s simple, a little rough around the edges, but so much fun to share your days (and nights) with new friends.
What should I wear?
Whatever makes you feel amazing! At the Quinta, there’s no dress code. You can wear as much—or as little—as you like. Nudity is welcome, and if you’re in the mood for flair, we even have a fabulous drag room to play in.
What about travel?
The Quinta is about 2.5 hours by car from Lisbon. You can also take one of two direct buses from Lisbon to Marvão every day, and I’ll pick you up at the bus stop. If you’re coming from somewhere else (like Madrid or Seville), just let me know, and I’ll help you with the details!
Any other questions, or interested in coming? Let me know - and we can have a chat!
Sending you warm hugs from QuintaLand!
