Queering Permaculture
7 May - 14 May

*** You can still apply for this gathering, however, we now operate a WAITING LIST ***
Through permaculture practice, we are creating resilient ecosystems and designing abundant lifestyles and livelihoods. Permaculture guides us to fulfil our human needs whilst caring for the earth and the people. But which insights, treasures, abundance and bewilderment lie at the intersection of our connection to and with nature – and our queerness? How can we create a dialogue between our individual queer identity and our wider permaculture practice?
Join us at the Quinta Project for a week-long exploration, celebration and community experience at the intersection between nature, queerness and permaculture. We will explore how we can queer permaculture and permaculture queerness. We have space to explore and reflect and create a space full of energising debate and practical learning as a learning community. Let us share what it means for us to be queer people in permaculture. Probe which questions need to be asked. Immerse ourselves in a permaculture-focused community. Find out how we can create a queer life with permaculture principles.
During the week we will live in community on the Quinta Project. Our days will encompass practice on the land in the group, with sharing and space to explore our connection with each other and permaculture. The week’s aim is to share our permaculture practice and insights, creating a community of practitioners and resources for other queer permaculturists.
