Explore and experiment with sensual and sexual connections with and in nature: join us for a week-long journey where we inquire about our connection to the self, nature and others in community on the land at the Quinta Project.
what are the first images that come to mind?
Romantic silky sex on a spring meadow in the golden light of the sunset? A bareback on a rock with a stormy mountainous background?
We want to go further than taking nature as a nice scenery to have sex in.
We want to explore the sexual energy of nature itself. And to be able to do that in connection with nature and ourselves, we take a step back from sexuality and start from ecoSENSuality.
Together we will explore how nature can inspire all forms of sensuality and sexuality. We will work with bodywork, mindfulness, movement, sexuality, and tantra to explore how different energies emerge when we are connecting with nature – and how nature can evoke pleasure. We will challenge the nature/culture binary, explore queerness of, in and with nature. And how consent, sensuality and sexuality interplay with and in nature.
The gathering will be run using a facilitated open-space model. This means that every participant is invited to offer and request sessions during the gathering. It is expected that everyone will actively and intentionally contribute to the shape, content, environment and outcome of the week. We particularly encourage contributions reflecting the works of Barbara Carellas, Annie Sprinkle and Beth Stevens, Catriona Sandilands and Bruce Erickson. We are excited to share these influences in a journey that interweaves all beings through connection, energy, love, sex and our queer spirits.
This gathering is for gay, bi, trans and queer men and people who identify on the genderfluid spectrum between male and nonbinary.
Please arrive on Sunday afternoon. If coming by bus from Lisbon, we can collect you from Marvão. We will have a tour of the land and the facilities at 16:00, followed by a dinner together.
Departure is after brunch the next Sunday.
The accommodation will be in shared double rooms, shared sleeping space or tents at Community House.
All food during the week will be shared (vegan)
Location: The Quinta Project, Marvão, Portugal
Price: All gatherings are free to attend. We ask for a deposit of €100 to secure your space. This deposit will be returned to you when you attend the gathering. This is a living, experimental space where we work together to practice and model the kind of interactions we wish to see more of in the world.
